Garden Work Days

Hello from the Parker Woods Orchard and Garden Committee!

Our two garden and orchard work days this fall are Saturday October 1st from 10:30-1:30 and Saturday, October 15th from 10:30-1:30. You can come any time during that time period. Here's what you need to know: 

·       No experience needed. 

·       Some tools are provided, but bringing a shovel could be helpful. 

·       Children are welcome! 

·       These family friendly meet ups are a wonderful way to get to know the PWM community and learn more about gardening. 

Our focus will be mulching and preparing the orchard and garden for the winter. If time and volunteer numbers allow, we'll do weeding and planting in the front garden beds to beautify our school grounds.

Beyond keeping our orchard and garden beautiful and growing, the Parker Woods Garden Committee has other opportunities to help with decision making and setting up educational opportunities for the garden and outdoor grounds at Parker Woods. We can discuss those opportunities during the meet up.
